6 Days Marangu Route

Short Overview

The Marangu route, sometimes referred to as the “Coca-Cola” route, is a well-known Mount Kilimanjaro trip. It is the most seasoned and ancient path. Due to its gentle slope, the Marangu route is preferred by many as the simplest way up the mountain. Additionally, it is the only route that provides dormitory-style sleeping huts. This approach requires a minimum of five days, although there is very little chance that you will be able to reach the peak in that amount of time. When ascending Klimanjaro via the Marangu route, it is highly advised to spend an additional day on the peak for acclimatization. On the Marangu route, we do not, however, undertake leading climbs, despite its enormous appeal. Due to the fact that the ascent and descent are made on the same trail, this route offers the least amount of visual diversity out of all of them and is also the most popular. Marangu is only recommended for people who have five days or less to climb Kilimanjaro (which we do not suggest in any case), or for those who prefer the hut accommodations over wet ground during the rainy season.
