Don't Have Enough Time? Book one of our
Tanzania Day Trips & Excursions
We would gladly organize the following Tanzania tours and day trips for you. Our selection provides you excellent chance to gain an understanding of Tanzania’s people, culture, wildlife, and flora in a short period of time. These trips are frequently booked as an add-on to longer safaris and beach vacations. Our day trips depart from Arusha, Moshi, Marangu, and Zanzibar. We can also arrange day trips and tours to Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park for you, but we do not encourage it. Because of the outbound and return drives to Arusha on the same day, these one-day national park safaris are sometimes highly exhausting. On request, day trips may end at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.

Arusha National Park
Following an early breakfast, you will be greeted by our knowledgeable tour guide, who will give you a quick overview of safari before we head east to the Arusha National Park. This charming little national park in Tanzania is the nearest to Kilimanjaro International Airport and the well-known “safari town” of Arusha, making it the perfect destination for one-day trips. The park is home to a diverse range of animals and has one of Tanzania’s most stunning and topographically diversified landscapes. The three most prominent features of the park are the 3 km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed around fifteen million years ago, the craggy Mount Meru, and the strikingly diverse colored Momela Lakes! After lunch at the Momela Wildlife Lodge, we’ll go on an exhilarating morning and afternoon game drive, stopping at the Ngurdoto Crater and the Momela Lakes. African buffalo, elephants, hippos, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys, and perhaps an uncommon leopard or hyena are among the animals that can be spotted. We leave in the late afternoon to conclude our safari journey in Arusha. Our tour package services come to an end when you are driven to your hotel.
Ngorongoro crater
Be ready for a pick-up from your hotel or from your stay in Arusha town at 6 a.m. Your driver-guide will collect your picnic lunches and travel 190 miles on the tarmac road to the Ngorongoro Conservation entrance gate. Drive to the Crater Rim from the gate and spend a few minutes at the top for an amazing view of the Crater before descending into the crater floor for a day of wildlife drives. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s biggest complete caldera and one of the most magnificent views in Africa. This lovely caldera is home to the BIG FIVE: Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, and Elephant, as well as Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena, and a variety of birds, including flamingos on Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures, and other bird groups.
Your picnic lunch will be provided in the Crater picnic spot near Ngoitokok wetland, a Hippo pool, and the afternoon game viewing will begin after lunch. At 1500 hours, climb the Crater and return to Arusha.
Tarangire National Park
We will pick you up from your Arusha hotel and drive you to Tarangire National Park, which will take around 2-3 hours. Hemmingway frequently went on large game hunting excursions in this region. Following the establishment of national parks in 1970, the seasonal wetlands and limitless grasslands that can be seen now were transformed into valuable hunting grounds once more. Cameras, luckily, have replaced elephant guns nowadays. The Tarangire National Park has the largest population of elephants in North Tanzania, and you may see them all year. Herds of elephants can often number in the hundreds.
The Tarangire River provides water all year, and during the dry season, which lasts from July to October, numerous animals from the neighboring areas come to drink. During the dry season, you can see lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, and zebras, as well as numerous sorts of antelopes and gazelles, and if you’re lucky, a python! During the dry season, this location is also a refuge for bird enthusiasts, with over 550 distinct species, including the world’s biggest bird, the Masai Ostrich. After lunch, you’ll stop at a nice picnic spot before spending the afternoon observing animals. You will be returned to your Arusha hotel before sunset.

Kikuletwa Hotsprings
From Moshi Town, a day excursion to Boma Ng’ombe is ideal. This is a little blue lagoon with mild, not hot, springs, a swing and rope, and several amiable bats. At seven meters, the pond is rather deep. You will love seeing little fish in the water nibble on your legs and feet! Without a doubt, Kikuletwa is a great spot to unwind, and our clients are still raving about this lovely location. Just warm water—not too hot or too cold. We always suggest this lovely location to anybody searching for day outings or camping; you won’t regret it.
Weekdays and Sundays are the ideal days to visit. A great deal of folks go swimming on Saturdays. Because Kikuletwa Hot Spring is so deep, it is not recommended for young children who cannot swim. There are areas that can be challenging to swim, and the sides are a little steep. The water has a lovely sapphire blue and natural currents flow through it. The most convenient spot to unwind is by the main pool.

Throughout your visit, a Maasai guide will accompany you and provide you with information on the medicinal plants, traditional tools, their way of life, interactions with the environment and wildlife, and more.
